The magnificence of elephants, the sympathy of giraffes, the elegance of lions and the survival instinct of gazelles. In these parks, life carries on before your eyes and you will find yourself mesmerized while observing the beauty of nature. The dawns, the sunsets, the dinners around the fire in the middle of the forest listening to the lions’ roar or the hyena’s calls have made our journey in Botswana unforgettable.
Moremi Game Reserve
It is the heart of Okavango, the place where the so-called ‘big five’ can be easily spotted: lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and, above all, rhinos. The roads are uneven, there are rivers to wade in, nature is in all its glory. Here you can breathe the essence of Africa, with its overwhelming colors of sunsets and dawns, making you able to feel unforgettable emotions.
Chobe National Park
This the first national park established in Botswana, in 1968. Of all four geographical areas which make a total of 11,700 square kilometers, the most popular one is the Chobe Riverfront, the elephants’ paradise. The fauna richness is not limited to pachyderms, in fact you can also spot hippos, giraffes, gnus, baboons and numerous species of birds, including eagles. Less popular but very interesting is the Savuti area, which is particularly recommended for those who would like to see lions, and it is one of the few areas in the world where lions attack elephants at the peak of the dry season (generally in September).
