The Wadi Rum desert, which was the background to Lawrence of Arabia’s endeavors, is one of the most spectacular landscapes in Jordan.
Mother Nature has indulged herself in creating such magnificent masterpieces of sculpture. The phenomenon of erosion, combined with the strength of the elements, gave rise to rock formations that would not look out of place in a modern art gallery.Bright and dazzling colors, clear and blue sky make this destination one of the most exciting in the country.
We highly recommend spending at least one night in a Bedouin camp. You will have the opportunity to chat with people of a different culture and find out more about their lifestyle. Above all, you will have the opportunity to taste the Bedouin cuisine and maybe smoke the hookah around the campfire. Enjoying that magical atmosphere, cradled in the silence of the night and illuminated by the splendor of the starry sky, is priceless.
The next morning, we got in a jeep to explore the most interesting corners of the desert. This place will leave you breathless. Rock formations in different colors and shapes, as well as canyons, spectacular arches and natural bridges: all of them created by the force of the wind of the course of hundreds of years.
Multi-day excursions are also organized: on foot for trekking lovers, on the back of a camel for the most romantic ones (a very romantic idea, sure, but perhaps it is easier said than done).
