The Ethiopian cuisine consists of spicy meat and vegetable dishes, usually in the form of stew, served on typical bread; a sort of soft Italian focaccia with a sour taste called injera. Usually, this is a common dish that you have to eat with your hands. The injera works like a little spoon: you split a piece and then collect small portions of food.
You will find it astonishing, but the macchiato coffee is very popular in Ethiopia and it is also very good. Perhaps an ancient heritage of the Italian colonization. We also recommend to try the spriz, not to be confused with the Aperol one. The spriz is a sort of coffee mixed with tea and spices of various kinds. Simply delightful.
